Hi

I am a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist in Virginia and the best-selling author of "Scattered Pink." Recently I became a SHE RECOVERS Professional, celebrating my journey of recovery from SUD since May 27, 2007.  With having over ten years of experience in leadership, fundraising, self transformation, self love, and being a guide to women, I get to walk in my purpose every day!

My Story

Hi, I'm Honesty Liller—and my mission is to help others transform their lives, just like I transformed mine.

For nearly two decades, I’ve dedicated my life to helping individuals, especially women and mothers, overcome substance use disorders and reclaim their worth. My journey has taken me from personal recovery to national advocacy, from community service to executive leadership—and now, to life coaching.

In 2015, I received the Vernon Johnson Award from Faces and Voices of Recovery, a powerful affirmation of the work I had poured my heart into. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of being featured on Face the Nation, FOX News, CNN, and PBS, where I’ve shared my voice on addiction and recovery in America. In 2019, I was humbled to be recognized with the Jean C. Harris Community Service Board Award from Hanover County, and in 2020, WRIC Channel 8 named me one of “Richmond’s Remarkable Women.”

I’ve completed Stanford University’s Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders and served as a field reviewer for SAMHSA, Faces & Voices of Recovery, and CAPRSS. Currently, I volunteer as Vice-President of the Hanover CARES Board and serve on the Advisory Board of The National Peer Recovery Alliance.

As CEO of a nonprofit, I’ve helped open the organization’s first women's and children’s recovery residence and secured a $2 million grant to further our mission. Every step has been guided by my passion for peer-to-peer recovery and a deep belief in the power of community, connection, and lived experience.

But beyond the titles and achievements, I’m a woman in long-term recovery from substance use disorder since 2007, a proud mom of two, a wife, and a dog lover who finds joy in running, meditative coloring, exercising is my jam and I love helping women transform their lives.

Now, through life coaching, I’m combining all that I’ve learned—professionally and personally—to walk alongside others on their journey toward healing, purpose, and self-love.
